Tokarska Gallery, a contemporary art gallery featuring paintings by emerging artist Nadiya Pavliv-Tokarska announced its plans for their grand opening in London. The opening exhibition will showcase collection of paintings by Nadiya, which were created during her formative years as an artist.
Nadiya gets a lot of inspiration from London and many of her painting are of city scenes. “This is such a vibrant city. Coming from another country makes you really aware of the variety of people and architecture around you” continues the Ukrainian born artist “I hope my paintings encourage people to look at what is around them from a different angle.”
The gallery plans to hold future shows featuring an international group of work with established names, as well as emerging artists. “Being on the doorstep of central London, our focus is on raising and developing the creative profile of Walthamstow artistic community as well as delivering quality visitors attractions in the fast changing capital city. Regeneration of East London is rapid and evident, attracting good balance of public and private investment to the area and providing further opportunities for the local residents and businesses. We look forward to working together to make it happen and be part of these communities”, says Nadiya.
Now with a newly completed exhibition space in Walthamstow, Tokarska Gallery strategy is a collective, long-term set of ambitions to encourage the artist’s further development, increase the opportunities for public participation in arts and provide training opportunities while supporting the local government’s masterplan for growth and building a more sustainable, prosperous and integrated community. |
